The new Restorative/Laboratory Kits have been designed for use with Bicon’s new non-shouldered abutments which have a groove or line approximately 3.0mm above the height of contour. The sleeves snap definitively onto the new non-shouldered abutments and will facilitate impression taking and temporization. The sleeves are color coded according to the diameter of the abutment: 3.5mm = blue, 4.0mm = red, 5.0mm = yellow, 6.5mm = green and 7.5mm = purple. After making an impression with the colored sleeve, insert the appropriate size transfer die into the sleeve before pouring the model. If the abutment has been modified, the dentist and technician may use another sleeve as a corrective coping to communicate the changes. Alternatively, the technician may modify the transfer die and communicate the changes back to the dentist with the use of a sleeve as a corrective coping.
