All-Ceramic Crown: Extra-Oral Cementation of a Mandibular Molar
This case demonstrates the implant level impression, temporization, and extra-oral cementation of an all-ceramic crown.

     


1. Labial view prior to the uncovering of the 5.0mm x 8.0mm implant.


2. White 3.0mm impression post being inserted into the well of the uncovered implant.


3. Implant analog and impression post seated in implant level transfer impression.


4. Shoulder depth gauge seated in well of implant to facilitate the selection of a shouldered abutment for the transitional prosthesis.


5. A 5.0mm x 2.0mm shouldered abutment being inserted in the implant well.


6. Abutment seated with only finger pressure for the fabrication of a transitional crown.


7. A short one-piece acrylic sleeve seated onto shouldered abutment.


8. Vacuum-formed template with transitional composite material being inserted over one-piece acrylic sleeve.
