Overdenture: Maxillary Four Implant-Retained
The maxillary, four implant-retained, soft tissue borne, removable prosthesis is a reliably effective treatment . The many financial and clinical advantages of this restoration are possible by the fact that Bicon's angled o-ring abutments are capable of 360 degrees of universal positioning.

1. Radiograph of four Bicon implants. The anterior implants have had their temporary abutments removed.

2. Paralleling of o-ring abutments is easily achieved with the use of 0 degree and 15 degree angled abutments that have the possibility of 360 degrees of universal positioning.

3. Four o-ring abutments after having been tapped into their implant well.

4. Four black alignment caps seated on o-ring abutments prior to being picked up in the final impression for the master model.

5. Final impression with four alignment caps.

6. Impression with four black transfer dies inserted into their alignment caps prior to pouring a master stone model.

7. Master model with black alignment caps prior to their being replaced with four pink polycarbonate o-ring housings for processing into the acrylic denture base.

8. Bicon's pink o-ring housings facilitate aesthetic housing placement even when denture flanges are thin.

9. Four implants provide enough retention so that there is no need for prosthetic palatal coverage.

10. Palatal view of the tissue borne and only implant retained prosthesis.

11. Intraoral view showing prosthetic support for lips and lack of full palatal coverage.

12. Although there are no taste buds in the palatal tissues, patients routinely report that they can taste better with their new prosthesis.
