Insertion of a Maxillary Full Arch TRINIA® Telescopic Prosthesis

Posted on in Telescopic Restorations

This treatment demonstrates the sequential use of a resin seating jig to facilitate the orientation and seating of four abutments for the insertion of a maxillary full arch TRINIA® telescopic prosthesis with two milled retentive copings and two custom cast chrome cobalt copings on four implants for a 59-year-old woman.

The Insertion of Two Contiguous Implants into a Mandibular Bone Void Using Sinus Lift Abutments with SynthoGraft®, and Their Subsequent Restoration with Two Integrated Abutment Crowns™

Posted on in Integrated Abutment Crowns™, SHORT® Implants

This treatment demonstrates the insertion of a 4.0 x 6.0mm implant and a 4.5 x 6.0mm implant into two contiguous mandibular osteotomies, which communicated with each other because of a bone void. After preparation of the implant osteotomies through the crest of cortical bone, the soft tissue content of the bone void was thoroughly removed from the bony walls of the defect with a spoon excavator prior to filling the defect with a putty-like consistency of the patient’s blood and SynthoGraft®, a pure-phase beta-tricalcium phosphate. A sinus lift abutment was used to prevent the implants from being displaced into the defect. Subsequently, the implants were restored with Universal Abutments and Integrated Abutment Crowns (IACs).

Insertion of a Two-Unit TRINIA® Prosthesis to Replace an Ill-Fitting Prosthesis

Posted on in Porcelain Fused to Metal

This treatment demonstrates the insertion of a two-unit TRINIA® prosthesis for maxillary central incisor implants in a 71-year-old male, who presented with an ill-fitting, splinted Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal (PFM) prosthesis.

Insertion of a TRINIA® Telescopic Prosthesis

Posted on in Overdentures, Restorative

This treatment demonstrates the insertion of a TRINIA® telescopic restoration on five non-parallel implants for a 70-year-old woman, who previously had a four-implant-retained o-ring overdenture.

Guided Bone Regeneration Technique and Implant Placement in an Atrophic Mandibular First Molar Site

Posted on in Integrated Abutment Crowns™, Restorative, SHORT® Implants, Uncovering

This treatment offers an alternative to ridge splitting procedures, demonstrating the molar implant placement and simultaneous guided bone regeneration of a 56-year-old woman’s atrophic left mandible. Because of the very thin and dense crestal bone, a high-speed drill was used to initiate the osteotomy prior to the successive use of latch and hand reamers, and the placement of a 4.5 x 6.0mm implant, which was covered with SynthoGraft™ within a collagen membrane pocket. The 5-year post-insertion clinical and radiographic images reveal a successful treatment with significant bone gain.

Immediate Placement and Restoration of a Maxillary First Molar with an Extra-Orally Cemented E-Max Crown

Posted on in Extraction, Immediate Placement, Restorative, Surgical

This case demonstrates the extraction of a maxillary first molar and the immediate placement of a 6.0 x 6.0mm implant. Additionally, three different impression techniques are presented: implant-level transfer impression, abutment-level transfer impression, and digitally scanned impression flag. Furthermore, the extra-oral cementation of an E-max (lithium disilicate) crown is demonstrated.

Insertion and Relining of a Maxillary Telescopic TRINIA™ Prosthesis

Posted on in Restorative, Telescopic Restorations

This case demonstrates the insertion of a maxillary full arch telescopic restoration with two conventional telescopic copings with yellow retentive inserts and two milled titanium copings on four implants, one of which is badly positioned.

Extraction of a Maxillary Left First Premolar and its Replacement with a SHORT® 4.5 x 6.0mm Implant, and Grafting with LPRF, Collagen Membranes, and SynthoGraft™, a pure phase beta tricalcium phosphate

Posted on in Extraction, Integrated Abutment Crowns™

This case demonstrates the extraction of a maxillary left first premolar and its replacement with a SHORT® 4.5 x 6.0mm implant using SynthoGraft™, Leukocyte and Platelet Rich Fibrin (LPRF), and collagen membranes. The osteotomy was carefully prepared using latch and hand reamers in 0.5mm increments despite a buccal bone perforation.

Restoration of a Maxillary Left First Molar with an Abutment-Level Transfer Impression

Posted on in Integrated Abutment Crowns™, Restorative, Uncovering

This case demonstrates the process of fabricating an abutment-level transfer impression and a transitional crown with a 5L Universal Abutment after uncovering the implant in the area of the maxillary left first molar.

Fabrication and Insertion of a Four-Implant Mandibular Full Arch TRINIA™ Telescopic Prosthesis with Two Lithium Disilicate Crowns to Resist Abrasion of Composite Denture Teeth Against Opposing Maxillary Porcelain Restorations

Posted on in Surgical, Telescopic Restorations

This case demonstrates the fabrication of a four-implant mandibular full arch TRINIA™ telescopic prosthesis, beginning with the making of an implant-level transfer impression and bite registration, followed by the laboratory fabrication of a soft tissue model with four Universal abutments prosthetic posts with two to three degrees of parallelism; a light-cured resin verification jig with milled retentive copings to confirm both a path of insertion and retentiveness of the intended TRINIA™ prosthesis; a light-cured resin seating jig to facilitate the orientation and initial seating of the four Universal abutments intra-orally; and two lithium disilicate molar crowns to preserve the patient’s vertical dimension of the occlusion, by resisting the abrasion of the composite denture teeth against the patient’s maxillary porcelain restorations. Finally, three red retentive copings and one metallic non-retentive coping, which were seated on the Universal abutments, were intra-orally cemented into the bores of the mandibular full arch TRINIA™ prosthesis to provide the patient with a functionally stable and aesthetic restoration.
