Bicon Free Vascular Graft Meeting – Rome 2022

Posted on in Introductory, Scientific Lectures

On October 15th and 16th in Rome, Italy, Bicon hosted a two-day international forum for clinicians and technicians participating in a 12-year clinical study initiated by Professor Rolf Ewers of Vienna, Austria. This study presented clear evidence that restoring free vascularized fibula and scapula bone grafts with TRINIA® fixed prostheses supported by Bicon SHORT® implants for the mandible and maxilla are efficient and effective treatments for providing both aesthetics and function for patients in need.

Immediate Placement of a Bicon SHORT® Implant in a Molar Socket

Posted on in Introductory, Techniques

In this video, Rolf Ewers, MD, DMD, Ph.D. presents his technique for immediately placing a 5.0 x 6.0 Bicon SHORT Implant in a maxillary right second molar socket using a supraperiosteal split-thickness flap to achieve primary closure of the extraction site. Subsequently, the implant is restored with an implant-level impression and insertion of an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC). Additionally, a 6.5-year post insertion radiograph is presented.

The Internal Sinus Lift with SynthoGraft® – Dr. Shadi Daher [HD]

Posted on in Webcast Replays, Introductory, Scientific Lectures

On June 6, 2020, Shadi Daher, DMD, FICD, AAOMS Fellow, presented a live webcast discussing internal sinus lifts with SynthoGraft®, a synthetic bone augmentation material. In his presentation, Dr. Daher discussed the anatomy, histology, instrumentation, and clinical techniques of several representative clinical treatments with their long-term radiographic results.

SynthoGraft® is a revolutionary Beta-Tricalcium Phosphate material that offers a unique structure that provides initial stability, while its nanometer-scale porosity allows for rapid vascularization and subsequent resorption when mixed with the patient’s own blood.

Unmatched Clinical Capabilities of TRINIA® – Drs. Vincent J. Morgan and Estevam Bonfante [HD]

Posted on in Webcast Replays, Introductory, Scientific Lectures

On May 27, 2020, Vincent J. Morgan, DMD, and Estevam Bonfante, DDS, MS, Ph. D, co-presented a live webcast discussing TRINIA®, a metal-free ceramic matrix CAD/CAM material.

During the first portion, Dr. Morgan introduces TRINIA® as a fiber-reinforced resin with exceptional clinical capabilities and unique properties, which has been successfully used as a dental CAD/CAM material for over ten years.

In the second portion, Dr. Bonfante of The University of São Paulo, Bauru College of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics, discusses the challenges of current restorative materials for both short and long-span prostheses and the conclusions of the EAO’s 2018 consensus report, about the unacceptable fracture rates of ceramics. Dr. Bonfante concludes that there is not only an opportunity but also a real need for novel metal-free CAD/CAM restorative materials such as TRINIA®.

During the conclusion, Dr. Morgan presents multiple real-world clinical cases exemplifying TRINIA’s unmatched clinical capabilities and its potential to revolutionize restorative dentistry. He demonstrates that with TRINIA®, patient satisfaction can be achieved with less time, fewer clinical appointments, greater flexibility, and significant financial benefits for both you and your patients.
