Bicon Free Vascular Graft Meeting – Rome 2022
On October 15th and 16th in Rome, Italy, Bicon hosted a two-day international forum for clinicians and technicians participating in a 12-year clinical study initiated by Professor Rolf Ewers of Vienna, Austria. This study presented clear evidence that restoring free vascularized fibula and scapula bone grafts with TRINIA® fixed prostheses supported by Bicon SHORT® implants for the mandible and maxilla are efficient and effective treatments for providing both aesthetics and function for patients in need. |

Surgical Advantages of Bicon Short® Implants – Dr. Shadi Daher [HD]
On May 13, 2020, Shadi Daher, DMD, FICD, AAOMS Fellow, presented a live webcast discussing the surgical advantages of Bicon SHORT® Implants. In his presentation, Dr. Daher discussed patient selection, surgical protocols, preferred implant sizes, instrumentation, and clinical examples of several surgical treatments with their long-term radiographic results. |

The Internal Sinus Lift with SynthoGraft® – Dr. Shadi Daher [HD]
On June 6, 2020, Shadi Daher, DMD, FICD, AAOMS Fellow, presented a live webcast discussing internal sinus lifts with SynthoGraft®, a synthetic bone augmentation material. In his presentation, Dr. Daher discussed the anatomy, histology, instrumentation, and clinical techniques of several representative clinical treatments with their long-term radiographic results. SynthoGraft® is a revolutionary Beta-Tricalcium Phosphate material that offers a unique structure that provides initial stability, while its nanometer-scale porosity allows for rapid vascularization and subsequent resorption when mixed with the patient’s own blood. |

Unmatched Clinical Capabilities of TRINIA® – Drs. Vincent J. Morgan and Estevam Bonfante [HD]
On May 27, 2020, Vincent J. Morgan, DMD, and Estevam Bonfante, DDS, MS, Ph. D, co-presented a live webcast discussing TRINIA®, a metal-free ceramic matrix CAD/CAM material. During the first portion, Dr. Morgan introduces TRINIA® as a fiber-reinforced resin with exceptional clinical capabilities and unique properties, which has been successfully used as a dental CAD/CAM material for over ten years. In the second portion, Dr. Bonfante of The University of São Paulo, Bauru College of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics, discusses the challenges of current restorative materials for both short and long-span prostheses and the conclusions of the EAO’s 2018 consensus report, about the unacceptable fracture rates of ceramics. Dr. Bonfante concludes that there is not only an opportunity but also a real need for novel metal-free CAD/CAM restorative materials such as TRINIA®. During the conclusion, Dr. Morgan presents multiple real-world clinical cases exemplifying TRINIA’s unmatched clinical capabilities and its potential to revolutionize restorative dentistry. He demonstrates that with TRINIA®, patient satisfaction can be achieved with less time, fewer clinical appointments, greater flexibility, and significant financial benefits for both you and your patients. |

The Logic of Bicon – Dr. Vincent J. Morgan [HD]
On May 6, 2020, Dr. Vincent J. Morgan presented a live webcast discussing the driving principles behind the Bicon design: simplicity, predictability, profitability — and most importantly the logic! Whether you are new to Bicon or have been using Bicon for years, his presentation is not to be missed. |

Bicon SHORT® Implants and TRINIA® on Three
In this video, Rolf Ewers, MD, DMD, Ph.D. discusses the revolutionary TRINIA® on Three technique and its long-term results. After experiencing over six years of reliable results with full-arch TRINIA® prostheses supported by four SHORT® Implants, he decided to modify the study design in 2016 to follow full-arch TRINIA® prostheses supported by only three 4.0 x 5.0mm SHORT® Implants. He attributes their success to the exceptional clinical capabilities of Bicon SHORT® Implants and the unique properties of the non-rigid metal-free TRINIA® CAD/CAM material. |

Materials for Long Span Implant-Supported Reconstructions: An Alternative to Existing Survival Issues
In this video, Dr. Estevam Bonfante, DDS, MS, Ph.D. of University of São Paulo, Bauru College of Dentistry, Department of Prosthodontics discusses the challenges of current restorative materials for both short and long-span prostheses, as well as a classification system for all-ceramic and ceramic-like materials and the EAO 2018 conclusions about the unacceptable fracture rates of ceramics. Dr. Bonfante concludes that there is not only an opportunity, but also a real need for novel metal-free restorative materials such as TRINIA®, a fiber-reinforced CAD/CAM material. |

My Journey from Augmentation to TRINIA®, a Non-Rigid Metal-Free CAD/CAM Material
Join Rolf Ewers, MD, DMD, Ph.D. on his journey with TRINIA®, a fiber-reinforced resin CAD/CAM material, as his views evolved over time — from using and enjoying multiple bone grafting techniques to avoiding grafting completely by using a non-rigid material and shorter implants. He examines how TRINIA® can further expand the clinical capabilities of Bicon SHORT® Implants — on four, three, and even one implant. After nine years of real-world experience and multiple long-term clinical studies, Prof. DDr. Ewers concludes that “less is more”! |

My Evolving Views on Bicon SHORT® Implants After Using Them Extensively for Eight Years – Prof. DDr. Rolf Ewers [HD]
Please join Rolf Ewers, MD, DMD, Ph.D. on his journey with Bicon SHORT® Implants as his views have evolved over time — from initial disbelief to using them extensively for over eight years. Prof. DDr. Ewers also considers how Bicon’s bacterial seal, double platform switching, screwless locking-taper connection, slow drilling at 50RPM, callus bone healing principle, and Haversian-like bone morphology result in unmatched clinical capabilities. He also examines how TRINIA® metal-free CAD/CAM fiber-reinforced resin material can further expand the clinical capabilities of Bicon SHORT® Implants. After multiple long-term clinical studies, Prof. DDr. Ewers concludes that maybe “less is more”. |

Short Implants: A Reliable Treatment Option? – Dr. Frank Kistler [HD]
IDC-Italy presents the 1st European Forum On Short Implants at the Teatro Comunale di Ferrara in Ferrara, Italy. Please join Dr. Frank Kistler as he discusses the primary issues today in Implantology — aesthetics, acceleration, long-term stability, efficiency, and simplicity — and how short implants can help address those issues. Dr. Kistler also makes an important distinction between “success rates” and “complication rates”. |
