Comprehensive Bicon Sinus Lift Techniques
This video provides a didactic overview of Bicon Sinus Lift Techniques via illustrations, 3D animations, and clinical cases. Various clinical situations and techniques are presented including internal sinus lifts, crestal sinus lifts, trans-crestal sinus lifts, atrophic ridges, and sinus lifts using SynthoGraft® bone augmentation material.
Two-Stage Surgical Technique
This video provides an introduction to the science and benefits of the Bicon design, the fundamentals of treatment planning, an overview of the basic surgical instrumentation, an animated demonstration of osteotomy site preparation and two-stage implant placement, and a clinical case tying all of the concepts together.
Immediate Placement of a Maxillary Lateral Incisor
This case study and technique video demonstrates the case planning, extraction, osteotomy preparation, and immediate placement of a 4.0 x 8.0mm implant with a 2.5mm well for a maxillary lateral incisor. Additionally, the technique of changing the Pilot Drill trajectory while drilling on a slope is demonstrated. This technique facilitates ideal implant placement. For the preparation of the osteotomy, Hand Reamers were used with a Threaded Instrument Adapter, which offers better control — especially in thin bone.
Two-Stage Placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant

This case study video demonstrates the two-stage placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant with an internal sinus lift procedure using guided surgery for a maxillary right first molar and its restoration with an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC). The guided surgery placement was designed for a 5.0 x 5.0mm implant in order to minimize the risk of sinus perforation and expedite the placement of the 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant with an internal sinus lift procedure. The osteotomy was then deepened using incrementally longer Guided Surgery Reamers through the 5.0mm Guide Ring until the length of the intended osteotomy and sinus elevation was achieved for the 6.0mm implant. In addition, one-week, nine-month, and five-year follow-up images are provided.
