Two-Stage Implant Placement for a Congenitally Missing Maxillary Premolar

This case study and technique video demonstrates the case planning, osteotomy preparation, and two-stage placement of a 4.5 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implant for a congenitally missing maxillary premolar for a 26-year-old female patient. In addition to Latch Reamers, Hand Reamers with a Threaded Instrument Adapter were used for the preparation of the osteotomy, which offers better control — especially in thin bone.
