One-Stage Placement of Two Adjacent 4.5 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implants for Mandibular Premolars

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study and technique video demonstrates the planning and one-stage placement of two adjacent 4.5 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implants for a 66-year-old male patient. The countersinking of the osteotomies to prevent inadvertent drifting of the reamers, and the use of Guide Pins, Paralleling Pins, Bone Expanders, and Hand Reamers as guides during osteotomy preparation are also demonstrated.

Implant-Level Impression and Insertion of a Nine-Unit TRINIA® Telescopic Restoration on Four 21-Year-Old Implants

Posted on in Case Studies, Techniques

This case study video demonstrates the full-arch implant-level transfer impression and insertion of a nine-unit mandibular TRINIA telescopic restoration on four 21-year-old implants for an 87-year-old male patient in only two restorative clinical visits.

One-Stage Immediate Placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implant for a Mandibular Molar

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study and technique video demonstrates the planning, osteotomy preparation, and one-stage immediate placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implant for a mandibular molar. Additionally, the countersinking of the osteotomy to facilitate the seating of the temporary abutment is demonstrated.

Two-Stage Implant Placement for a Congenitally Missing Maxillary Premolar

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study and technique video demonstrates the case planning, osteotomy preparation, and two-stage placement of a 4.5 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implant for a congenitally missing maxillary premolar for a 26-year-old female patient. In addition to Latch Reamers, Hand Reamers with a Threaded Instrument Adapter were used for the preparation of the osteotomy, which offers better control — especially in thin bone.

Immediate Placement of a Maxillary Lateral Incisor

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study and technique video demonstrates the case planning, extraction, osteotomy preparation, and immediate placement of a 4.0 x 8.0mm implant with a 2.5mm well for a maxillary lateral incisor. Additionally, the technique of changing the Pilot Drill trajectory while drilling on a slope is demonstrated. This technique facilitates ideal implant placement. For the preparation of the osteotomy, Hand Reamers were used with a Threaded Instrument Adapter, which offers better control — especially in thin bone.

Two-Stage Placement of a 4.0 x 8.0mm Maxillary Canine Implant and its Restoration with an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC)

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study and technique video demonstrates the case planning, osteotomy preparation, and placement of a 4.0 x 8.0mm implant with a 2.5mm well in a maxillary canine site using a collagen membrane and SynthoGraft™ bone grafting procedure. After four months of healing, its uncovering, implant-level impression, and restoration with an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC) are shown. Additionally, the modification of the adjacent 15-year-old lateral incisor IAC to improve gingival aesthetics is demonstrated.

Two-Stage Placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant with an Internal Sinus Lift using Guided Surgery for a Maxillary Right First Molar and its Restoration with an IAC

Posted on in Case Studies, Techniques

This case study video demonstrates the two-stage placement of a 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant with an internal sinus lift procedure using guided surgery for a maxillary right first molar and its restoration with an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC). The guided surgery placement was designed for a 5.0 x 5.0mm implant in order to minimize the risk of sinus perforation and expedite the placement of the 5.0 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant with an internal sinus lift procedure. The osteotomy was then deepened using incrementally longer Guided Surgery Reamers through the 5.0mm Guide Ring until the length of the intended osteotomy and sinus elevation was achieved for the 6.0mm implant. In addition, one-week, nine-month, and five-year follow-up images are provided.

Two Stage Placement, Uncovering, and Restoration of a Mandibular Posterior 4.5 x 6.0mm Bicon SHORT® Implant

Posted on in Introductory, Case Studies, Techniques

This case study video provides a comprehensive overview of the fundamental Bicon surgical and restorative techniques for a missing mandibular first molar. It demonstrates the two-stage placement of a 4.5 x 6.0mm SHORT® Implant, subsequent uncovering, implant-level transfer impression, crown insertion, and final restoration with an Integrated Abutment Crown™ (IAC). In addition, five-month follow-up images are provided.
