After the initial seating of the IAC, a green three millimeter guide pin is inserted into the well of the implant. Then a gold five millimeter sulcus reamer attached to a threaded straight handle is slid onto the guide pin and rotated three hundred and sixty degrees while applying apical pressure. Upon removal of the green guide pin, the excess tissue is also eliminated. Two relieving incisions are made interproximally in the sulcus to further facilitate the definitive seating of the IAC. The crown is then reinserted with finger pressure, tapped with a white plastic temporary abutment, and contacts are checked with dental floss. Hopefully, this video has shown you the simplicity of how to use a sulcus reamer to achieve the definitive seating of an abutment, integrated abutment crown, or extra orally cemented crowns.
